Guide: How to Add Custom Login Message in windows 10

Are you sick of seeing the same Windows login screen? Here it is how to customize the Windows 10 login screen to your liking. Everyone is familiar with the “look” of Windows, but what if you get sick of seeing the same thing every time you turn on your computer? Both Windows 10 and Windows 7 provide good options for customizing the screen. Here it is how to accept those choices and customize the access page to your liking.

Customize the screen saver on Windows 10

You have two options for customizing the Windows 10 screen saver: message, and background.

Change Windows 10 screen saver message

Maybe you use a table, laptop, or even a tablet that looks like a Surface, it is possible to set a custom login message. This has many uses, from delivering a company message, to making the end user smile. It can also be useful if your device is missing, forwarding your address to the finder.

Note that the actual login screen itself will remain unchanged. Instead, a new screen will appear, with the OK button, before the login screen.

Start by opening the Registry Editor by typing WIN + R and printing regedit. Type OK, then scroll to the left pane for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Expand this entry, follow the path Current Microsoft Windows Version software Policies.

Under Settings, on the right, you should see a registry item, legal title. Right-click this and select Edit, and under Data iye Enter a title for your new message. Some ice cream, or phrase that deserves attention, should do.

Next, come on legalnoticetext. Again, right-click Edit, this time entering Data iye more information message.

This could be something like “Login to ACME Plc network” or “If you find it, please go back to…” Next, it needs to be a message that serves a similar purpose, otherwise there is not much space in changing anything!

With the message entry, press OK to confirm, then exit the Windows Registry. Next, restart Windows to use the registry tweak.

Your new Windows 10 passcode should appear! You will need to type OK to reach the login screen.

Add Windows 10 New Screenshot

In addition to the login screen message, you can also change the background.

Hit WIN + I to open the Line up screen and select Personal> Screen Lock. Find the background drop-down menu and select between Windows Spotlight (pictures from Microsoft), Art, and Slide. The last two options let you select images from your own library.

Now, as this new image is important for the lock screen at this stage, you will also need to make sure Displays a screenshot of the lock screen on the login screen option is changed to Tan-an. Otherwise, the lock screen with a different image display, or be empty. Once done, close the Settings screen. (Check our full guide to the Windows 10 settings menu for more.)

Again, you should log out of Windows to check that the tweak has been used. If all goes well to plan, you should have the latest Windows 10 lock screen setup and the next message!

Unfortunately, that’s as far as you can access Windows 10. The tweaks are limited to the inbox message and background; you cannot change fonts. However, there are other Windows 10 tweaks, such as changing the desktop wallpaper to game background.

Customize Windows 7 login screen

While the tweaks are limited on Windows 10, things are more generous on Windows 7. Here, you can customize the screen saver message, as well as the screen saver font.

Change Windows 7 screen saver message

Intended for Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit computers with Pack Service 1 installed, the monitor can be operated with or without active user account control. You will also need a copy of Resource Manager, a free tool designed to modify, add, rename, delete and view sources in Windows EXE files.

While this is recording, open C: WindowsSystem32 en-US (note that non-English versions of Windows will have a different folder name, viz es-ES for Spanish) and see winlogon.exe.mui.

Right-click this file and select Properties> Security> Advanced> Ownership.

In this window, click Edit and then under This is enough, select your own username and press Arise. Type OK to proceed and select OK to exit these windows and the Original Properties box.

You should copy that winlogon.exe.mui to a new position, along with your desk.

Make sure the rumors are live, and click Script overview then File> Save to complete the process.

Disable Resource Hacker and stop winlogon.exe.mui file back to C: WindowsSystem32 en-US (choice Copy and Replace). Open Start and such CMD, Right-click the icon that handles command result and selection Acting as an IT.

Tail mcbuilder and tap Enter, then wait until the process is complete (the cursor will flash on a new line).

When done, press Exit then tap Tap to execute the command.

You will need to restart Windows to complete the process and confirm your changes.

To restore this and restore the original message, start the process again, replacing your custom message with “Welcome”.

In other words, delete winlogon.exe.mui and replace it with winlogon.exe_original.mui File created by Hacker Resource, be sure to give the old file name.

Select a New Windows 7 New Font screen

While changing the screen saver message may take some time, changing the font is very fast.

Open Start and such regedit, tapping Enter to launch the Utility and accept any UAC patents (before use File> Export to back up your Windows Registry — useful if an error occurs).

Expand the route HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionFontSubstitutes and see MS Shell Dlg on the right #

Right click on this and select Edit.

In the result box, type the font name you want to use (check C: Windows Fonts for a list of currently inserted options), and also for entry MS Shell Dlg 2 (note that the default option is Tahoma).

Once this is done, close the Windows registry and restart your computer to apply the changes. (While you can still log in and login, your computer lock will not display the new font.)

The Password Is Very Light / Dark!

Changing the color of the Windows login font is not possible.

However, you might change the weights of those words, as the prominent appears in the front you choose behind it.

To do this, go back to the Windows Registry Editor and expand the process HKLM SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Authentication LoginUI.

On the right side, right-click on an empty space, and select New> DWORD, in his name Set button.

Once this is done, double click to edit the value, clicking OK when done. You have the following options:
