Hello Geeky, so today we are focusing on How to set up Azure Virtual Desktop scaling automatically. So please read this tutorial carefully so you may comprehend it in a better helpful way.
Guide: How to set up Azure Virtual Desktop scaling automatically
Measuring your virtual machines can help you save money on deploying Virtual Azure Virtual Machines (VMs). This includes turning off host time VMs and moving them back during peak hours, then switching them back and forth during peak hours. A measurement tool developed using the Azure Automation account and Azure Logic App that quantifies automated hosting VMs in the Azure Virtual Desktop environment is described in this post. Skip to main Questions to learn how to use the evaluation tool.
How creating a scaling plan works
Before creating your program, keep the following in mind:
- You can assign an upgrade plan to one or more host pools of the same host pool. The rating system will also be used across all designated battle lakes.
- You can compile a rating idea for a battle pool. If you assign a single rating system to multiple pools, those pools cannot be assigned to another rating system.
- The rating system can only work in a configured time zone.
- An evaluation program can have one or several configurations. For example, different schedules during weekdays instead of weekends.
Make sure you understand the usage instructions before defining your schedule. You will need to schedule around the following times of the day:
- Ramp-up: beginning of day, when use select up.
- Peak hours: time of day when use is highest.
- Ramp-down: when using tapers off. This is always the case when you close your VMs to save costs.
- Peak off-peak hours: time with minimal possible use. You can define the maximum number of
- VMs that can run at this time.
- The rating system will work as soon as it is activated.
Also, keep these limits in mind:
- Do not use autoscale in conjunction with other Microsoft evaluation or third-party scaling tools. Make sure you bring those for host pools that use promotion ideas.
- Autoscale recreates the flow mode, so make sure you use the default symbols when updating VMs in the host pool.
- Autoscale overcomes existing load balancing algorithms in your pool system, and instead applies load balancing based on your configuration.
Create an upgrade plan
To create a measurement system:
- Access the Azure portal at https://portal.azure.com.
- Go to Azure Agent Desktop> Size Ideas, then select Create.
- In the Basics tab, look under Project details and select the names of the subscribers to whom you will add the upgrade plan.
- If you want to create a new resource group, select Create New. If you want to use the existing search group, select your name from the drop-down menu.
- Enter a name for the upgrade idea into the Name field.
- Alternatively, you can also add the name “friend” that will appear to your users and description for your thoughts.
- For Region, select an area for your rating idea. The metadata for the object will be stored in the terrain associated with that location. To learn more about the areas, see Databases.
- For time zone, select the time zone you will use with your idea.
- In the checkboxes, enter the tags for the VMs that you do not want to include in the configuration tasks. For example, you may want to mark the VMs set to drain mode so that the autoscale does not overflow during operation.
