How to Data Backup Using Syncback
Download and install Syncback. When you first launch the application, a dialog window will appear asking you to create a new profile. Click on “Yes” button. Now there are three types of profiles. Backup, Synchronization and Team. Select first, ie Backup. A new profile window will pop up up. Give a name to your profile. For example I gave a name “Data-Backup” to my new profile. A profile configuration window will appear. Here you will find the Source and Guide field at the top. On the right is our navigation button (not shown in the screenshot below). Click on this browser button to select your source and destination folder. For example, I want to back up a folder called “Test” in my computer’s D screen. So I browse through it and select it as Source. Now I have selected H drive as Uses which is an external drive plugged into my PC.
On the Sub-dirs field, I chose “Save all directories and their files (and use the directory filter)” because I want to back up all the folders in the “test” folder. After completing all the settings for the profile, click “OK” button now at the bottom right. It will require your confirmation for performing the simulation. The simulation will output a detailed report on what file will be copied and deleted after backing up the profile.
How To Set Up Your Backup
You can also schedule your daily, weekly or monthly backups using this tool. It will automatically back up / synchronize data at the specified date and time. Open Syncback again. Now press “Ctrl + M”. buttons of your keyboard to change the profile configuration page. Go to expert settings mode by clicking “Expert” button. Now open the Misc tab. Here you will find a great “Schedule” button. Click on it.
A small confirmation window will appear. Click “Yes” to create a schedule. A warning window will appear. You need to set a password to run your program. Under the “Tasks” tab click “Set Password” button. Enter your Windows password. Also check the box next to “Run only if you log in”. Now go to Settings tab and select the task.
How to Restore Backup
Backing up is a simple process. Open the program, right-click on the profile. Select the “Restore” option from the text menu. A warning window will appear. It just says that the restoration replaces the source and end-of-trip process. It means that all the files of the source directory will be replaced by those in the travel directory and vice versa. Click on “Yes” button for restoration methods.
