The OnePlus 8 device series is one of the most anticipated phone launches in 2020 – maybe more than the Huawei P40, meaning that even on the day of the latter’s launch, one of the biggest news at the moment is that the upcoming OnePlus phones are fully leaked .
This leak comes from the productive (and fairly reliable) Twitter leaker Ishan Agarwal, who has published a table with all the specifications of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. There are few holes in the table and generally this will expose the upcoming phones.
We would like to believe this leak, partly because agarwal tends to provide correct information, partly because a large part of it matches what we have heard before.
Exclusive: you are coming! Here is the full specification list of the # OnePlus8 & 8 per. Looks like # OnePlus8Pro will be a beast with a 6.78 “120 Hz QHD + display and 48 + 48 + 8 + 5MP camera setup. Will also have 30W wireless charging and IP68 protection. OnePlus smartphones are among the best of the year and offer first-class functions at a higher price in the middle price segment. In contrast to Huawei, which often fits into this form, the 2020 smartphones also have Google apps.
The “simple” OnePlus 8 has a 6.55-inch FHD + screen with Super AMOLED screen technology and a refresh rate of 90 Hz (like the OnePlus 7T phones).
According to reports, the cameras are equipped with a 48-megapixel snapper and 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors, which we believe can be ultra-wide or macro sensors. This is a remarkable series since the OnePlus 7T had the same thing, but with a 12 megapixel phone camera instead of the 2 megapixel camera, which makes the new phone look like a downgrade. A 16 megapixel selfie camera would be seen on the front.
The battery here would be 4,300 mAh and with the same 30 W warp charge as with OnePlus phones. According to the leak, the processor is a Snapdragon 865, which means the phone is 5G compatible. After all, OnePlus 8 should have 8 GB or 12 GB RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB storage.
Oneplus 8 Pro
Now for the bigger phone – the OnePlus 8 Pro appears to have a large 6.78-inch QHD + Super AMOLED display with a fast refresh rate of 120 Hz, so it could have one of the best displays on a phone.
The cameras appear to be 48MP, 48MP, 8MP, and 5MP, and if the first is the main snapper, we expect the others to be ultra-wide, telephoto, and macro lenses. Just like the base phone, this handset is set up for a 16 megapixel selfie camera.
In terms of battery, the OnePlus 8 Pro appears to have a 4,510 mAh power supply, a little boost compared to its siblings, with the same 30 W quick charge, but also with 30 W wireless charging and even 3 W -Reverse wireless charging (so you can use the phone as a wireless charging mat to turn on other devices).
It looks like the phone has the same RAM and memory combinations as the OnePlus 8 and the same chipset with 5G compatibility, but unlike this device, we have an IP68 waterproof rating here.
We expect the OnePlus 8 phones to hit the market in April 2020, unless this is another technical event that is delaying the corona virus. Before they are finally revealed, however, we will tell you all the news and rumors about the expected handsets.
