How to Change Account Type in Windows 11

In this article we will talk how to Change Account Type in Windows 11. In Windows 11, as in previous versions, users typically belong to one of two main account types (including “administrator” and “standard user”) that determine the level of access to devices and applications. For example, the “administrator” account provides complete control over the device. A user with this account type can install applications, run advanced commands, change global system settings, and do anything else.

A “standard user” type account, on the other hand, restricts the user’s privileges to a smaller scope, but provides a more secure environment. A user with a standard account can launch applications, but he is not allowed to install new applications. If an application requires privilege escalation, the user is prompted to authorize the action with administrator credentials. In Windows 11, there are ways to change your user account type to an administrator account and vice versa. Below are the steps to edit account type in Windows 11.
